So my cute cousin J-Cuz was taking mine and Tim's picture with her cell phone...and of course me only wanting my head in the shot was telling her to make sure she didn't get any of my fat.......well Colby said...mom you aren't fat.....my sister laughed and said you don't even know what fat is......of course colby said...yes I do it's when you have bigger legs, bigger arms, bigger feet etc......and my sister said............oh crap...I am fat!!!! J-Cuz said oh Colby I love how honest you are! He is so cute...............and which one of you told him about being fat?.....that's a swear word at our house!

Funny Boys

It's been awhile..One day I will post about our summer!!! But just a cute thing my kids have done....

At dinner on sunday night we were saying the prayer and Parker the little stinker refuses to fold him arms and stuff for the prayers....well I was saying the prayer and right after I start I hear Colby whisper to Parker "Don't you love Jesus?" It was so stinkin cute.

We were getting ready for bed and some of our story books have stickers. Well Parker grabs a sticker and sticks it on his forhead.......he then holds one hand out in front like he is going to catch it if it falls. Leans his head forward and starts tapping with his other hand the back of his head trying to knock the sticker off......I guess he had just saw something like that on America's Funniest Home Videos with a penny or something. It was so cute!

Colby's 1st year of Preschool

Colby's "graduation" from his first year of preschool was May 27th. I finally got the pictures from my mom's camera. They sang a song that we got recorded and did a little skit about goldie locks and the three bears. Colby was apart of the trees. He part was "down by the trees by the pond where the bees hide away from the bears living there." He had it memorized before I even started practicing it with him. Here are some pictures.

May 2010

So may FLEW by!! What a month for our family! We had a lot of thing happen. May 1st my Cousin Kiera was in town from Florida and had a Breakfast with some of the kids from the neighborhood and her friends and family. It was so nice to catch up with her and some of my old friends. Her dad had the same problem as I do. He had a stroke last year I think it was from a PFO. We all talked about that. When we were visiting my Dad came bye as I told my mom what we were doing and said My grandma's & aunts new house was up the street and they were moving boxes and would like our help. So we loaded up the kids and Tim went and helped them move the boxes. We made a couple of Trips and Grandma bought us pizza's for helping. Tim was suppose to go to a priesthood leadership meeting that afternoon and us Stake Conference Adult session but we ended up not going because we were to late helping grandma. But that's ok.

On the 8th of May we were suppose to race in the Race for the Cure but it was my Grandma's official Move day so we didn't sign up. That morning we got up early and went to the church for a scout fundraiser breakfast. It was a silent auction and breakfast. I ended up getting/payingfor a haircut, a printer, and tim got banana bread and the kids got a book and sword. We then had to run over for Colby's last soccer game. He threw a huge fit and didn't want to play but shaped up by half time and helped them make a bunch of goals. he got a Medal to wear around his neck and was proud of it! We then ran home and my dad was waiting with his truck and Tim loaded most of that by himself. We had to call the rest of the family about 1 hour and a half later to come load the rest of the stuff from our basement(we were storing my aunts stuff) For some reason they all were just hanging out there thinking my DAD was going to load it all? What? So they got it all loaded and taken away. My neighbors all thought we were moving out and they told us they wanted to come over and tell us not to move.....I think they secretly were saying "YES" finally :)
After that we didn't go up to help unload the stuff because Tim and I were going with our neighbor Jenn to get our flowers in Layton at J&J. We all grabbed a bunch of flowers. I won't tell you how much we spent....but there were a lot of flowers. We went and planted my mys yard with flowers as that is what we give her for Mothers day. We then went to our house and and planted flowers in our yard, trina's yard and helped Jenn rototill her flower beds. It was long and we were wore out!!! On mothers day I woke up and my boys gave me a super cute purse I was eyeing at a boutique. They worked something with my sister to get the purse without me knowing it! Then we had a BBQ at my parents house with my dads side of the family! It was nice to see everyone.

On the 15th We went to the Brain Injury Associations 5k. We run for the little boy I help on Fridays with some therapy to help him walk and stuff. His name is Charlie. We had our friends the Cary's come with us as their girl received a similar brain injury as Charlie but a different level of Damage persay. In a way I was runing for myself also as strokes are an injury also. My friend Donna was also their with her Hubby who had a stroke also. We know too many people. But we ran the race. I pushed the boys and Tim helped push the photographers childs stroller as she took pictures. It was fun. And nice to have the Cary's there with us! That evening we went to a birthday party for Charlie. They were planning on 200 people..holey cow that is a lot of people to feed. I asked if I could make charlie a B-day cake. It was an incredibles cake as they call him Charlie Jack jack...this was a nick name before his illness that hurt his brain. I didn't have time to put trim on the cake so it wasn't as finished as I would like but it turned out good. Sorry no pictures. Our camera is still broken....I am waiting to see if Charlies mom will send me some! The boys loved the party. There was a bounce house trampoline, soccer, sandbox and lots of food and fun!! What an awesome family the Christensens are!!!

I had a boutique at my house the 21st with my sister. The turn out was ok. But we still had fun with those that came and the people selling stuff. We had purses, jewelry, scentsy, blankets, headbands, hats etc.

My sister had surgery on Monday before mine to see why she had a lump under an old surgery scar from 7 years ago. They found a massy thing with an old suture that never dissolved. This last weekend I spent time recouping from my surgery. Friday when we came home the boys of course didn't notice I was gone for a day and a half and ran right to daddy. But oh well. We went home and I settled in on the couch!! We had to go get some prescriptions but that's it we did. Our friends the Woodruff's of course brought us a delicious dinner!! We were spoiled. our friends the rogers also dropped us by a Pizza to eat anytime we needed it. It was take and bake. On Saturday we got up and Tim wanted to get yardwork done but it was cold so I told him I would bundle up and sit outside while he did the yard work so I could keep an eye on the boys. So they just played with the neighbors and I sat there resting and Tim did our yard work and Trina's. I guess they both helped each other. My sister came over during Parkers nap time and We watched a movie the two recoveries watchin shows. Colby played in the basement with neighbor kids. That morning my friend/fellow relief society presidency member brought us breakfast. We had the pizza for lunch and our friends the Cary's brought us dinner. I felt so good and didn't feel like I had surgery so I felt guilty letting people bring me food but they all insisted. We then watched another movie that night with Tim. He ended up spending the afternoon helping at our friends the woodruff's frame in a fireplace in their basement. Yard work, basement finishing what doesnt that guy do!!!

Sunday on memorial day we didn't go to church and I guess there was a wow factor in Relief Society. Heather told them they excused me because I had Heart Surgery. I guess they were all shocked and concerned. She had to back up and say not open heart type of surgery they were all thinking but just easy surgery I had. We did go put flowers on the graves and the cemetery with my parents, syblings and uncle. Its a tradition of ours. We walked all over the cemetery and even went to my future burial plot!! When we were about done colby said Mom when I die I want transformers on my head stone thingy. It was so cute!!! That night our friends the Wolfley's brought us dinner also!!! Seriously don't we have the best friends ever!!! They all volunteered to bring food non of this was set up by the compassionate service committee like it usually is!!! The husband made the food and he even made it when his wife was home sick....worse off than me!! I felt really bad!

On memorial day I was off my 2-3 day take it easy after surgery days. We went to Woods Cross City Park memorial day celebration with my parents. I helped start this Celebration14 years ago when I was on the youth city council. We had breakfast and played at the park. We ran into my cousin Liz so we hung out with her and let our kids play. It was fun. After that we went to the store for Tim to buy my b-day presents....oh yeah it was my b-day too...on a holiday yeah no work!! He got me some unmentionables......sheets and new pillows. We got the boys a few more summer outfits and we only had a couple. We then went and got some new flowers to replace some that died for what reason we don't know. We quickly planted them and then our family and my sister went to see the last Shrek movie. colby loved every minute of it. Parker well he was a little stinker the whole movie walking around in our isle and talking loud I was embarrased. We then all went with my parents to Robintino's for my Birthday dinner!! It was weird not having a memorial day BBQ. But oh well we can have one soon!!! That's may for you! Sorry no pictures one day we will fix our camera or get a new one!
